Program Overview

Our Retina Surgery Program is divided into three progressive phases to ensure a comprehensive and transformative training experience:

Phase 1: Online Learning & Personalized Mentorship

  • Live interactive sessions on retinal anatomy, pathology, and treatment strategies
  • One-on-one mentorship with experienced retina surgeons
  • Case-based discussions focused on real-world challenges
  • Flexible duration: 1 to 3 weeks, adapted to your availability

Phase 2: Hands-On Simulation & Wet Lab Training

  • Access to the Haag-Streit Eyesi VR Retina Simulator
  • Intensive wet lab training with the Constellation System and Bioniko artificial eyes
  • Practice key procedures: vitrectomy, retinal detachment repair, macular surgery
  • Small-group instruction and individual guidance
  • Duration: 1 week, Monday to Saturday, 8 AM – 8 PM

Phase 3: Real Surgery in Retina Centers

  • Supervised live surgeries in specialized retina surgery centers
  • Real patient case management under expert guidance
  • Ongoing mentorship to sharpen clinical and surgical decision-making

  • Treatment strategies: Anti-VEGF, Laser, Vitrectomy planning

Phase 2: Simulation & Wet Lab & Dry Lab

  • Retina surgery modules on the Eyesi VR Simulator
  • Hands-on practice with synthetic eyes and high-end surgical platforms
  • Focused training on surgical technique, control, and ergonomics

Phase 3: Live Surgery & Clinical Integration

  • Supervised retinal procedures in clinical settings
  • Patient evaluation, intraoperative planning, and post-op review
  • Feedback-driven learning with expert mentors
